CBS has been generous to TV critics with screeners of “Young Sheldon” and “Wisdom of the Crowd,” but those same critics did not receive screeners for “Star Trek: Discovery,” the first new Trek TV series in more than a decade. CBS did invite some critics to screenings on Tuesday, but those screenings were held only in New York and Los Angeles. I’m not sure how many critics bothered to attend these screenings because CBS has forbidden all critics from reviewing the first episode prior to its Sunday-night first airing on CBS.
