House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer (R-KY) told CNN he believes Hunter Biden was indicted on nine criminal counts yesterday to be protected from testifying before his committee.

“A pregnant woman in Kentucky filed a lawsuit Friday demanding the right to an abortion, the second legal challenge in days to sweeping abortion bans that have taken hold in more than a dozen U. S. states since Roe v. Wade was overturned last year,” the AP reports. “The suit, filed in state court in Louisville, says Kentucky’s near-total prohibition of abortion violates the plaintiff’s rights to privacy and self-determination under the state constitution.”

Former Rep. Liz Cheney, who is warning about the potential dangers of a second Donald Trump presidency, told ABC News that Americans should take his recent dictator remark “literally and seriously.” Cheney called it “wishful thinking” to believe that Trump would “now abide by the rulings of the courts or be stopped by the guardrails of our democracy.”

“A federal judge on Friday blocked the federal government from separating families solely as part of border enforcement policy for the next eight years, stopping any potential return to the short-lived zero tolerance policy of 2018,” The Hill reports.
