The Wolves hired former Oklahoma Baptist women’s coach Casi Bays as their next girls basketball coach, Edmond Santa Fe athletic director Andy Rasmussen announced on Monday.Bays will replace Paul Bass, who retired in March as Edmond Santa Fe’s longest-tenured and winningest girls basketball coach.During Bays’ nine-year coaching span at OBU, she won 136 games, was named the Sooner Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2014 and oversaw OBU’s transition from NAIA to Division II.Under her lead, the Bison won the conference tournament for the first time in program history, returned to the NAIA National Tournament after a three-year absence and made a postseason appearance in the National Christian College Athletic Association tournament.Prior to coaching at OBU, Bays spent a season at Bridge Creek High School and four at Newcastle, where she collected a 99-28 record.Read more on NewsOK.com
