He says that while hitting the snooze button for a few more minutes of shut-eye may be harmless for some folks, for others it can indicate there are more serious sleeping problem. Bender explains that the extra few minutes of sleep may confuse the brain into secreting more sleep-causing neurochemicals, which over time will cause us to want to get up later and later in the morning.
