The First Annual Review of the Canis Hoopus Opening Night Predictions 5-for-15. Ugh. LaVine will win the slam dunk contest and the three-point shootout at All-Star Weekend. I disagree with the prediction that Zach won’t win the dunk contest. Zach lives for dunks. He breathes 360’s. He eats windmills for breakfast. 04/21/2017 - 10:00 am | View Link

Austrian Bernd Wiesberger beat England's Tommy Fleetwood in a playoff on Sunday to win the Shenzhen International.
Wiesberger went into the final round with a three-shot lead and eight shots ahead of Fleetwood but the Englishman fired a 63 to finish tied at 16 under.
Wiesberger's 71 featured par saves on the 12th and 17th and nearly hit the pin with his approach to the last hole but was forced to settle for a par and a trip back up the 18th.
Wiesberger hit his drive in the playoff over the water off the tee and ended up in the bank while Fleetwood played safely onto the fairway and found the heart of the green with his second shot.
The pressure was on Wiesberger and he delivered, placing his approach to five feet and making the putt for a birdie.
A 3D archery shoot to raise money for volunteer fire departments that battled the wildfires in northwest Oklahoma last month will be held April 30 in Woodward.
All proceeds will be donated to the fire departments to help pay for repair and replacement of supplies and equipment.
The event is sponsored by the High Plains Strutters National Wild Turkey chapter, Okie Wild television and the Woodward Archery Club.
LAKE EUFAULA — “Don't be taking our brush out of here,” a local fisherman quipped as I tugged on my fishing line to retrieve yet another crappie jig from one of the many former Christmas trees that had been immersed around the dock.
“Hey, you got that quick release down pat!” another witty crappie angler shouted as I missed a chance to land a fish.
The verbal barbs on the fishing dock Tuesday morning were as sharp as the ones on the fishing hooks.
It was all in good fun, of course, and there is nothing more fun than catching a mess of crappie in the spring when they are easy picking.
April is the time of year when the crappie move into shallow water to spawn on Oklahoma lakes and they are easier to catch, at least for those of us who are not spending most of their fishing time battling brush and retying crappie jigs.
There is no busier place in Oklahoma for crappie fishing in April than at Lake Eufaula.
