Indians Grapplers Subdue Vikes, Falcons

KINGSPORT — Down 33-18 to seventh-ranked Tennessee High, Dobyns-Bennett knew it had 18 forfeiture points coming in the final three matches of the dual, but still needed a win from Randal Whisman at 220 pounds to earn the victory over the Vikings on Senior Night Thursday at the Buck Van Huss Dome. The senior’s pin came in just 28 seconds and allowed the Indians to come away with a 42-33 win. “To have that win over Tennessee High is outstanding and have that momentum as we continue to move forward,” said D-B coach Wesley Idlette.
