Ullah was taken into custody shortly after the explosion went off, and three people sustained non-life threatening injuries. Akayed Ullah, the 27-year-old Brooklyn resident who attempted to carry out a suicide attack at New York City's busiest transit hub, chose the location because of its Christmas-themed posters, The New York Times reported on Monday. The explosion went off in the passageway linking the Port Authority and Times Square subway stations in midtown Manhattan.
