Jon M. Chu To Helm "crazy Rich Asians"

"Now You See Me 2" and "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" director Jon M. Chu is in talks to direct a film adaptation of Kevin Kwan's 2013 novel "Crazy Rich Asians" for Color Force and Ivanhoe Pictures. When the heir to one of the most massive fortunes in Asia brings his American-born Chinese girlfriend to Singapore for a wedding, the gossip, backstabbing and scheming reaches a fever pitch amongst three wealthy Chinese families. The project will feature a predominantly Asian and Asian-American cast.
