Attorney General Merrick Garland said the Justice Department will move to unseal the warrant used by the FBI to search Donald Trump’s home and office at Mar-a-Lago. He said he personally approved the search warrant and “the department does not take such a decision lightly.” Garland also defended the FBI from criticism from Trump supporters, saying he won’t stand by silently amid the “recent unfounded attacks on the professionalism of the FBI and Justice Department agents and prosecutors.” Since Trump can oppose the release of the warrant, Garland is essentially calling his bluff.
