SAN DIEGO (AP) — Ian Kennedy reached the 200-strikeout plateau for the first time, joining three other pitchers who did it while pitching for the San Diego Padres. Kennedy and three relievers combined on a six-hitter to win 8-2 Sunday against the reeling San Francisco Giants, who fell 4 ½ games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West race.
