The Kona Village Resort on Hawaii’s Big Island, which has been closed since sustaining damage from a 2011 tsunami, is on track to reopen in 2021, according to an executive with resort owner Kennedy Wilson. Dave Eadie, senior vice president of entitlement and development at Kennedy Wilson (NYSE: KW), told the Leeward Planning Commission Thursday that the vision for reopening the resort, the favorite vacation spot of the late Apple Inc.
