A Lakemoor man was sentenced to six years in prison on Wednesday as part of a plea deal for solicitation of child pornography, according to a news release from McHenry County State’s Attorney Patrick Kenneally. Officers began investigating 27-year-old Thomas Zurawski after receiving information from detectives in Minnesota that he was soliciting and receiving child pornography from a 14-year-old female in their jurisdiction, according to the release. When officers met with Zurawski, he admitted to the solicitation. Solicitation of child pornography is a Class 1 felony, which is punishable by up to 15 years in prison. The case was investigated by members of the Lakemoor Police Department and was prosecuted by Robert Ladd of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
