Law & Order: St. Augustine Bicyclist Killed In Apparent Hit-and-run

A St. Augustine bicyclist was killed early Sunday after apparently being struck by a vehicle that left the scene, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office. Shortly before 7 a.m., the body of Madison Jacob Meyer, 26, was found lying on the side of the road near the intersection of Hilltop Road and Kings Estate Road. A bicycle located nearby appeared to have been struck by a vehicle, according to a Sheriff’s Office release. Meyer was traveling south on Hilltop Road some time Sunday morning when he was struck from behind, according to the release. read more
