Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens Will Expand Movie's Lore

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will follow the movie's plot, but will also add exclusive lore to the Star Wars canon. Mike Taylor, the head of design at TT Fusion spoke to Game Informer about the details. Taylor said that Disney and Lucasfilm are allowing the team to "create some additional content," including "some levels that take place before the events of The Force Awakens." The game will explore the characters' backstory, which Taylor mentioned is, "...an absolute dream for any fan of Star Wars." A lot of the additional story will be exclusive, though the developer has also, "...drawn from the content in some of the other additional materials that Lucasfilm have been involved in."
