Leonardo Dicaprio To Produce Captain Planet Movie

Leonard DiCaprio is among the producers on an upcoming Captain Planet movie Planned for the big screen for some time, it looks like a Captain Planet movie may finally become a reality. The Hollywood Reporter today brings word that Leonardo DiCaprio‘s Appian Way Productions is teaming with Paramount Pictures for a live action take on the environmentally minded animated series. Scream Queens star Glen Powell and writing partner Jono Matt are attached to provide the screenplay for the Captain Planet movie, inspired by  the Turner Broadcasting and DIC Enterprises cartoon, Captain Planet and the Planeteers.
