Letter: Thanks To Those Who Help

I must respond to the Dec. 8 letter, “Many provide help for homeless,” which referred to The Columbian’s story about the Proto-Cathedral of St. James the Greater (“Nourishing ministry of compassion,” Nov. 23). To say that the church’s weekly meal to the homeless “pales in comparison” to other area churches and organizations responding to such needs diminishes the efforts of that organization to provide what it can for those who need it.
