Portland’s Christmas tree is ready for its moment. Officials say the tree in Portland’s downtown Monument Square will be lit with over 3,000 lights at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The tree arrived in Monument Square last week. City residents Mikki Jones-Little and David Little of Brentwood Street provided the tree, which workers cut from their yard before transferring it to the square.
