The United States has reported more than 14.1 million coronavirus infections and 275,000 fatalities since February, according to data tracked by The Washington Post. As many as 19,500 people could die of the virus during the week of Christmas alone, according to a sobering new forecast from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
