Longtime Alagasco Exec Joining Alabama Power

Terry Smiley, a veteran executive at Alagasco, is joining Alabama Power Co. Smiley was named external affairs manager for the company's Birmingham division. He will start the role on March 13. In the new role, Smiley will be responsible for business development, community relations and government relations for the six-county north central Alabama region. Smiley succeeds Leroy Nix, who joined Southern Co.'s Washington, D.C., office. He previously worked at Alagasco for 22 years, most recently…
