Julia Louis-Dreyfus is in negotiations to star in and produce a remake of Ruben Ostlund's 2014 award-winning Swedish drama "Force Majeure" at Fox Searchlight. The original film follows a family staying in a resort in the French Alps. An avalanche threatens the resort and the father who, in an act of selfish cowardice, deserts his family. When the avalanche passes and the family is safely reunited, the man’s actions have created a deep fissure amongst them that might not be repaired.
