MacGruber is coming back to kick ass and rip throats. Peacock, NBCUniversal's new streaming service, announced Monday that it's ordered eight half-hour episodes of MacGruber. Creator-star Will Forte is back to play the world's dumbest tough guy action hero in the series, which he will also write and executive produce alongside John Solomon and Jorma Taccone. Taccone, who directed the Macgruber movie, will also direct the series. Lorne Michaels, John Goldwyn, Andrew Singer and Erin David are also exec producers on MacGruber, which began as a skit on Saturday Night Live before hitting the big screen in 2010.
