In a big spread that centers on director José Padilha’s (Elite Squad) remake of the Paul Verhoeven classic, they open up about the scope of the project. For one thing, those that feared that the remake would lose the original’s lofty, big ideas and just be a mindless action flick, be prepared to think again.
Luke Evans is fearless. The actor has made it very clear that he’s not afraid of The Crow curse, which began after Brandon Lee was accidentally shot dead on the set of the 1994 original.

SEOUL — The Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) will start regularly distributing arthouse movies in the Asian region, organizers announced Tuesday. The South Korean film festival in March launched distribution/investment company CAC (Center of Asian Cinema) Entertainment, so that movies invited to BIFF can reach the general public outside of the annual festival period in October.
