The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention has issued an alert that a food worker with acute Hepatitis A may have exposed patrons of a Cumberland County restaurant to the virus. The Maine CDC said the worker served food between Sept. 29 and Oct. 11. After examining the food and beverage preparation practices at the restaurant, the CDC said it’s possible that others were exposed. Hepatitis A is a highly contagious liver infection.
