Shriver, who was sentenced Monday, says he doesn't believe he was driving but took a plea deal because going to trial would probably mean he would spend life in prison because of his criminal record, which includes seven other felony convictions. Investigators say DNA evidence indicated Shriver was behind the wheel during the crash and had a blood alcohol level of 0.248 percent, more than three times the legal limit for driving.
