A good Samaritan plowing out a church parking lot in Winchendon early this morning was in the right place at the right time to witness a car slide off a street and into an icy pond.Winchendon Fire Department officials said the driver was able to crawl out on his own and sat on the roof of the vehicle awaiting rescue approximately 10 feet from shore in 8 to 10 feet of water in Hunts Pond off Spring Street.The accident occurred shortly after 4 a.m. and was called in by the plow driver, identified as local businessman Corey Wilson.
