If you want to drive into the busiest part of Manhattan, get out your wallet. The city is considering a pay-to-drive plan that would charge people $11.52 for driving in busy areas. The policy would be the first of its kind in the US and would help ease the city’s traffic, as well as creating revenue to maintain and improve public transit. Singapore, Stockholm, London and Milan already have similar pay-to-drive plans.
