The lead lawyer in the state Attorney General Office’s fraud lawsuit against Wall Street titan Maurice “Hank” Greenberg caught a free ride on Greenberg’s private plane — possibly in violation of state ethics law, the Daily News has learned. Assistant Attorney General David Ellenhorn in 2009 traveled by commercial plane to Omaha, Neb., to take a deposition in the case from billionaire Warren Buffet, sources familiar with the litigation said.
Six people being tested for possible radiation exposure in a hospital in central Mexico are suspects in the theft of highly radioactive cobalt-60, a government official said Friday. The official said the six were arrested Thursday and taken to a hospital in Pachuca for observation and tests. Once cleared, they will be turned over to federal authorities in the case of a cargo truck that was carrying the material and was stolen at gunpoint.
