The Maze Runner, which debuted atop the North American box office this weekend, will be getting a sequel September 2015. Based on the young adult book of the same name, The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials will hit theaters on September 18, with Wes Ball once again attached to direct. Author James Dashner has also written a third book - The Death Cure - paving the way for a possible film trilogy. 20th Century Fox made the announcement on Twitter, alongside the first piece of concept art for the film.
