Mchenry Vfw To Hold Food Drive For Queen Of Hearts Raffle Tickets Tuesday

The McHenry Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4600 will hold a food drive Tuesday. People who donate will receive a free Queen of Hearts raffle ticket per-item donated. The game has seen an explosion of interest as the jackpot has grown. The current pot is at $1.64 million. McHenry City Council has raised its raffle prize limit three times, most recently allowing for a $3 million prize after its June 4 meeting. The organization is looking to collect nonperishable food items such as canned goods, coffee, cereal, baby food, tea and drink mixes along with personal hygiene items, baby supplies and household items such as toilet paper and cleaning supplies. There isn't a limit to how much you can donate.
