Medical Students Mentoring Youth In Pontiac Explore Cultural Competency In Medicine

Twice a month at Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan's office in Pontiac, something special happens between a group of college students and local youth. Medical students from Oakland University's William Beaumont School of Medicine sit in a classroom, where they meet with kids ranging in age from nine to 17-years-old who are a part of the Hispanic and Newcomer Outreach Ministry.
