Michigan Stocks Waters With Thousands Of Muskie Fingerlings

LANSING (AP) >> The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has placed 27,449 muskellunge fingerlings into 17 waterways around the state in its quest to boost sport angling.The DNR has reared muskellunge in hatcheries since the 1950s. Fisheries biologist Matt Hughes says production has risen over the years, enabling more water bodies to be stocked.
