Denver Days will celebrate its fourth year come July 30 as Denverites join their neighbors in building community during the weeklong event. The brainchild of Mayor Michael B. Hancock, the program encourages people to host block parties, picnics, service projects and other gatherings to get to know their neighbors. More than 20,000 residents are expected to participate in this year’s Denver Days events, which total over 200. “This year, the spirit of Denver Days has never been more important, providing us with the opportunity to work hand in hand as a city, the kind we all want our children to grow up in,” Hancock said during a preview event at Civic Center Park on Wednesday. Events this year include something for everyone.
