Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport in Jackson, Mississippi evacuated passengers and employees on Monday after receiving a "verbal security threat," the airport's operator said in a tweet on Monday."JMAA reports receiving a verbal security threat today at its primary airport, JAN," the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority, which also oversees Hawkins Field Airport, said Monday afternoon.The airport operator said it had immediately reported the incident to the Transportation Security Administration, which "took the step of evacuating passengers and employees at JAN out of an abundance of caution."A TSA spokesperson said the agency is aware of an incident at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport.
