More Rain, Flooding Possible This Week Across Still-soaked Oklahoma

BY DARLA SLIPKE Staff Writer dslipke@oklahoman.comOklahomans might want to keep their umbrellas and rain boots handy and brace for the possibility of more flooding in some parts of the state. A flash flood watch is in effect through Wednesday night for much of Oklahoma, and part of central Oklahoma could have rainfall totals of four to six inches Monday afternoon through Wednesday, the National Weather Service reported. Additional rainfall could cause problems because the soil is saturated and reservoirs, streams and rivers are full from rainfall during the past few months. "We haven't really had a chance to recover from the heavy rainfalls of the spring," State Climatologist Gary McManus said.Read more on NewsOK.com
