NEW HAVEN >> The second major snowstorm of the season pounded Greater New Haven, dropping far more snow than anticipated, snarling traffic and knocking out power to tens of thousands of people across Connecticut. In all, the storm brought 6.5 inches of snow to the Elm City with surrounding towns seeing even larger amounts.
