CAIRO — Ousted Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak is scheduled to go on trial Aug. 3 on charges that he conspired in the fatal shooting of protesters and profited from corruption, state media reported Wednesday. The trial date suggests Egypt’s interim military leaders want the former president tried before parliamentary and presidential elections scheduled to take place this year.
