Muskogee’s Barebones Festival To Showcase Indie Films Starting Tuesday

By Brandy McDonnellMUSKOGEE – Film screenings, panels, mixers, live music and more are planned at the 19th Annual BareBones International Independent Film & Music Festival, set for Tuesday through Sunday at several venues in Muskogee.The festival will showcase independently made narrative and documentary features, short documentaries, short narrative and student films, music videos, animation projects and live screenplay readings.One of the Bare Bones selections from Oklahoma that I'm most interested in is "Nanyehi," a short film about Nancy Ward, the legendary Cherokee warrior-turne-peacemaker.Read more on NewsOK.com
