Nc High Court Satisfied With Electric Rate Case

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina's highest court has upheld a regulatory panel's updated decision that allowed a Duke Energy subsidiary to raise electric rates on customers in western North Carolina and Durham in 2012 by roughly 7 percent. The first time justices told the North Carolina Utilities Commission there wasn't enough evidence it listened to how customers could be affected.
