After nearly 20 years, Tokyo-based architecture firm APL design workshop recently returned to the Maezawa Garden House in Kurobe, Japan to update the grounds for the Theater Olympic 2019 international drama festival. In addition to updating the outdoor amphitheater that they had completed in 1989, the architects created the new White Flower Arbor, a stunning open-air pavilion, supported by 17 living oak and cedar trees, that blurs the boundaries between nature and architecture.

Ninth Ave., Denver) announced it will close in just a couple of weeks, on May 3. The social media post suggested the closure came as a surprise to ownership. Michael Mulcahy, managing partner with Silver Fox Partners, which owns the brewery in the Art District on Santa Fe, declined to elaborate on factors that played into the closure.

    My Neighbor Felix has raised the white flag. “My Neighbor Felix and Alma Fonda Fina have resolved their dispute,” according to a joint statement from both parties. “My Neighbor Felix has generously agreed not to seek to enforce a noncompete clause that exists between the parties. As a result, Alma Fonda Fina will remain open for business.” Last month the casual Mexican restaurant, owned by Lotus Concept’s Francois Safieddine, sued its former executive general manager Kasie Curiel and her new LoHi restaurant, Alma Fonda Fina.
