U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance defeated his Republican primary rival, conservative businessman David Larsen, the the Star-Ledger reports. Lance, who represents the 7th Congressional District, is seeking his third term in the central Jersey district, which became more conservative in recent redistricting. Larsen, who ran to the right of Lance, sought to position himself as a Reagan conservative, accusing Lance of adopting such positions only when it's politically convenient.
