TV Ratings: 'Voice' finale, 'Castle' finale pace Monday split

After NBC dropped from first among young Monday viewers last week, "The Voice" got a bit of a finale bump and helped the network reclaim that crown. ABC still easily won Monday overall, thanks to "Dancing with the Stars" and a "Castle" finale bump.

TV Ratings: Oscars Posterized NBA All-Stars

The Artist Picks Up Best Picture at the Oscars

Because of the shorten NBA season caused by the lockout, this is the first time the telecast of the NBA All-Star game went head-to-head with the 84th Academy Awards. I thought the basketball game would get crushed, even with Linsanity in attendance - technically, he was only in the Rising Stars Challenge which took place on Friday.

Who’s bright idea was it to go head-to-head with one of the biggest tv events of the year? Couldn’t the NBA have done it the week before or after the Oscars? Maybe TNT, which televised the game, thought it’s good counter-programming.

Oscars 2012 ratings: About 39 million viewers, slightly up from last year

More than 39 million people watched Sunday’s “84th Annual Academy Awards,” Sunday, in which host Billy Crystal waxed nostalgic, a silent movie cleaned up, Angelina Jolie’s leg kept hogging the camera and Jennifer Lopez left nipple played hide-and-seek.

TV Ratings: 'Iron Man,' 'Blue Bloods' repeat lead Black Friday split

CBS procedural repeats and FOX's broadcast of the first "Iron Man" film led the way on a rather sluggish post-holiday Friday night. Among adults 18-49, FOX averaged a 1.2 rating, tops in the key demographic. The other networks were close behind with ABC's 1.1 rating and the 1.0 ratings for CBS and NBC. The CW averaged a 0.4 rating for the night.

Charlie Brown beats Lady Gaga in Thanksgiving ratings

Charlie Brown beats Lady Gaga in Thanksgiving ratings

It’s the Big Bang Theory, Charlie Brown! All the Thanksgiving specials Thursday night couldn’t hold a candle to a repeat of the CBS comedy, which delivered 11.2 million viewers and a 3.6 adult demo rating. Compare that to ABC’s Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (5.8 million, 1.8) and A Very Gaga Thanksgiving (5.4 million, 1.6 — more on that one here) and NBC’s 85th Anniversary of the Thanksgiving Day Parade (3.7 million, 1.1) and Happiness is a Warm Blanket Charlie Brown (5 million, 1.6). The best-performing special was Fox’s Ice Age: Mammoth Christmas (7.1 million, 2.3), despite the network getting the holiday wrong. And at least we can take comfort in Charlie Brown topping Lady Gaga, right?

Gabrielle Giffords interview preview: Husband says she was ‘beat up, but not beaten’

Ten months after a bullet shattered her skull in a sniper attack, Rep. Gabrielle Giffords appeared smiling and joking in a preview of an interview with Diane Sawyer to air Monday night on ABC. On Monday morning on “Good Morning America,” host Sawyer told viewers what to expect from her interview with Giffords and husband Mark Kelly, which will air on the network’s “20/20” news show.

Charlie Rose and Gayle King to Join ‘Early Show’ on CBS

Coming soon to CBS: Charlie Rose, Gayle King and a complete makeover of “The Early Show,” the network’s low-rated morning television show. The network is putting the finishing touches on a two-hour news show, expected to be announced in New York next Tuesday, that will defy the gauzy conventions of morning television. It will emphasize hard news and use a conversational approach like “Morning Joe” on MSNBC and “The View” on ABC.

Low-rated 'Charlie's Angels' grounded by ABC

Low-rated 'Charlie's Angels' grounded by ABC

ABC says its revamped version of the 1970s hit "Charlie's Angels" is being shut down after only four airings because of low ratings.

Senh: I thought this show would do better. I haven't seen any of the episodes, but I thought the concept would work - hot women, action, and gadgets. You have a potential audience of both sexes. But apparently I thought wrong.
