Democrats target Romney, draw from Bush vs. Kerry

A beleaguered president seeks re-election. His challenger, a candidate with Massachusetts roots and a presidential demeanor straight out of central casting, has to fight through a primary contest fending off charges of flip-flopping. In the end, the challenger's strength also proves his vulnerability.

No "Hope" or "Change" but Obama campaign HQ buzzes

No

Barack Obama's approval ratings are down, Republican challengers are beating him in polls and the U.S. economy is in a slump, yet the Democratic president's re-election campaign headquarters is buzzing.

Senh: Republican challengers are beating Barack Obama in the polls? Really? Who? Mitt Romney? Rick Perry? It's a bit vague. Ron Bloom, who helped restructure the automotive industry and has negotiated several large labor deals over the course of his career, served until August as Obama’s top manufacturing policy adviser. He announced Sunday that he will advise the National Letter Carriers Association as the 280,000-member union attempts to strike a new multi-year deal with the cash-strapped Postal Service.

Senh: Sure. The bailout to the auto industry was successful. The recalls on Japanese cars and the Tsunami that followed helped too. Hopefully, Ron Bloom can do it again with the U.S. Postal Service. I still want mail the old fashion way.
