Move over Charlie Sheen. Another “Two and a Half Men” controversy is exploding. Angus T. Jones, who has played the role of Jake Harper on the hit CBS show since 2003 and reportedly earns $350,000 an episode, is featured in a new video for the Forerunner Christian Church, in which he calls the sitcom “filth” that contradicts his devout Christian values.

It's remarkable how strong the Charlie Brown specials continue to perform in the ratings, year after year. "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" is not the most popular entry in the beloved animated franchise (both "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and It's the "Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" deliver bigger numbers). Yet the program still managed to hold its own against CBS' "Survivor" and Fox's "The X-Factor" (in fact, the special edged out Factor in total viewers, see below). Plus,"A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" delivered its biggest audience in four years — 8.1 million viewers and a 2.2 rating in the adult demo, up 22 percent from last year. Pretty spry for a 39-year-old repeat, huh?

Behind every great Two and a Half Men episode, there's a great (and very blond) woman! That's the takeaway from last night's TV ratings, given that Miley Cyrus' first guest appearance on Ashton Kutcher's CBS sitcom lead the show to season-high numbers. Her debut episode brought in 13.6 million viewers and a 4.0 rating in the adults 18-49 demo, a 14 percent jump from last week.

CBS has dropped its lawsuit against ABC over its reality series "The Glass House," citing the show's low viewership numbers as a reason it is no longer interested in the case.

 

'Price is Right' looking for the right male model

Men, do you have what it takes to be a model on "The Price is Right"? CBS said Wednesday that the game show known for its female models will add a male one for a week. "The Price is Right" will hold its "first-ever search" for the right man in an online competition, the network said. Viewers will choose the winner in October.

RATINGS RAT RACE: Olympics Slip Slightly On Day 3, ‘Bachelor Pad’ & ‘Glass House’ Hit Lows

NBC won the night among adults 18-49 and in total viewers with 31.42 million watching. Meanwhile, ABC had a two-hour new Bachelor Pad (1.1/3), followed by a new The Glass House (0.6/2) at 10 PM. Bachelor Pad was down 27% from last week for the reality show’s lowest rating ever. The Glass House was down 25% from last week’s show, also hitting its lowest rating to date. On CBS, it was an evening of repeats with How I Met Your Mother (0.9/3), 2 Broke Girls (1.0/3), Two And A Half Men (1.1/3), Mike & Molly (1.1/3) and Hawaii Five-O (0.9/2). Fox had two repeats of Hell’s Kitchen at 8 PM (1.1/3) and 9 PM (1.2/3)

In the latest development, CBS has been compelled to move the unveiling of its new reality dating series, “3,” to July 29 — after learning of ABC’s plan to attack “3’s” originally scheduled July 22 launch by moving its season finale of “The Bachelorette” to that same Sunday night.
