In 'The Soundtrack of My Life,' Clive Davis writes about musicians (and his part in making them legends) and his talents but little about the business side. He may be one of the most influential music executives in the world, but Clive Davis was never a music geek. He didn't like rock 'n' roll as a teen, doesn't describe that lightning-strike moment when sound first truly explodes. He didn't collect albums, and seldom paints himself as an aesthete.

Whitney Houston premiered tracks from her upcoming album I Look To You last night at London’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Clive Davis, who discovered the singer and shepherded her career, was also on hand to present nine unfinished songs from the LP, Billboard reports. Houston also officially unveiled the album’s cover art today.
