Those swinging hipsters over at JoBlo (my JoBlo podcast buddies) got their dirty little hands on some brand new stills from the upcoming Stallone action movie The Expendables. Expendable:  capable of being sacrificed in order to accomplish a military objective. THE EXPENDABLES is a hard-hitting action/thriller about a group of mercenaries hired to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator.  Once the mission begins, the men realize things aren’t quite as they appear, finding themselves caught in a dangerous web of deceit and betrayal. 

Early in the Aughts, Arnold Schwarzenegger made the move from Hollywood to the office of the Governor of California. Since then he's popped up in a poofy-haired cameo in "Around the World in 80 Days" (actually filmed before Arnie's 2003 election) and filmed a small role for Sylvester Stallone's upcoming action flick, "The Expendables."

You grew up on 80's and 90's action movies, then you should be really excited for "The Expendables," Sly Stallone's homage to that era of violent tongue-in-cheek cinema.

The most talked about scene for Sylvester Stallone's upcoming "The Expendables" film finally got filmed this past Saturday morning in Los Angeles.

Ethelmae's Blog reports that Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger all showed up at the Hollywood Presbyterian Church to shoot "a pivotal scene that sets up the whole movie" according to publicist Maria Lascala, a scene that has the three action stars playing off of each other.

Oh my lord, my head just exploded. As if Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables didn’t already sound awesome to begin with. I mean, Sly’s got Mickey Rourke on board, Jason Statham, Jet Li. He’s playing a part himself.
