The Screen Actors Guild announced it nominations for the 16th annual SAG Awards Thursday, with "Precious" and "Up in the Air" earning three nominations each.

"Nine," "Avatar" and "Inglorious Basterds" round out nomination leaders, while Meryl Streep gets to compete against herself.

The dramas "Precious" and "The Hurt Locker," the comedies "Up in the Air" and "The Hangover" and the animated tales "Up" and "Coraline" are among the top-10 movies of the year chosen by the American Film Institute.

The Los Angeles Film Critic's announced their 2009 Awards today and the choices were full of surprises. Contrary to public opinion, the almost 35-year-old organization is actually more progressive than their New York counterparts and displayed some of that independent spirit in this year's honorees.
