Jason Flemyng Joining X-Men: First Class

BFI's Movie-Con III is in full effect in London right now and ComingSoon.net's man abroad Ben Mortimer has learned that actor Jason Flemyng, last seen playing Calibos in Louis Letterier's Clash of the Titans and in a small role in Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass , will be reteaming with Vaughn for a role in X-Men: First Class . That role will be Azazel, who was described as a "teleporter" during Flemyng's presentation, but who is in fact none other than Nightcrawler's father!

With help from higher 3D ticket prices, the toon holdover edged out Lionsgate's superhero actioner "Kick-Ass," which debuted with $19.8 million at 3,065 engagements.
