Leonard Nimoy, famous as Mr. Spock on 'Star Trek,' dies

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Leonard Nimoy, the actor known and loved by generations of "Star Trek" fans as the pointy-eared, purely logical science officer Mr. Spock, has died.

Senh: RIP Mr. Spock. I didn't realize Nimoy wrote and directed a couple of the Star Trek movies, in addition to dabbling in music and poetry.

MTV's "Spoilers" aired a new featurette on J.J. Abrams' Star Trek , opening in conventional and IMAX theaters on May 8th. The new film stars John Cho, Ben Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Winona Ryder, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Eric Bana and Leonard Nimoy.
