The soundtrack to Oscar-nominated film Les Miserables has returned to the top of the UK and Ireland album chart. The cast recording had been knocked into second place last week by Biffy Clyro's sixth studio album, Opposites, after spending two weeks at the top.

Hollywood insiders had a field day on Sunday as the 70th Golden Globes turned into a feast of smart-mouthed humor aimed at two of their favorite subjects: politics and themselves. The night’s big prize, for best motion picture drama, went to “Argo,” a reality-based thriller about the rescue of American diplomats from Iran during its revolution. Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Anne Hathaway star in director Tom Hooper’s (“The King’s Speech”) bigscreen adaptation of the iconic musical. Universal will release "Les Miserables" on December 14.
