At Least 6 Killed in Shooting at Wisconsin Temple

In what police called an act of domestic terrorism, a gunman opened fire in a Sikh temple here on Sunday, killing at least six and injuring three others before being shot and killed in the parking lot. The rampage ended in a shootout with police. The gunman ambushed one of first officers arriving at the temple, shooting him several times, before he was killed by another officer, the authorities said Sunday afternoon. The officer remained in critical condition at a nearby hospital, along with two other shooting victims.

 

Report: 10-year-old boy commits suicide

Authorities in Milwaukee are investigating the apparent suicide of a 10-year-old boy Saturday night, according to a report on WTMJ-TV, an NBC affiliate in Wisconsin. The child's mother called 911 after finding him unresponsive in their home near 7th and Chambers on Milwaukee's north side, the station reported. The Medical Examiner's Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, but told the station it appears the boy took his own life.
